Abstract

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons placing dental implants are often presented with horizontal alveolar ridge deficiencies that require bone augmentation.  This webinar will review the biology of bone graft healing and the common materials used in ridge augmentation procedures.  Several horizontal ridge augmentation techniques will be presented in a video format.  Clinicians will gain insight into the advantages and disadvantages of the ridge augmentation techniques presented to help assist in technique selection for clinical use in their practice.

Learning Objectives

1). Define the biology of bone healing
2). Explain common horizontal ridge augmentation techniques
3). Compare bone graft materials and membranes
