Practical Application of Regenerative Therapies to Alveolar Cleft Grafts

Abstract: Alveolar cleft defects can be predictably grafted with growth factors. This presentation will focus on ways to incorporate BMP-2 into treating patients with alveolar clefts. Many of these patients will require orthognathic surgery as they get older. We will discuss also discuss the use of growth factors to enhance bone formation in patients requiring maxillary advancement to avoid autogenous grafting.
