Abstract

The use of soft tissue grafts in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is common. There are advantages and disadvantages of autografts as well as other materials. We will discuss the use of a porcine matrix graft for various intraoral soft tissue defects.

Learning Objectives

  • The participant should understand the benefits of using a xenograft soft tissue graft material
  • The participant will be able to describe surgical techniques utilizing this graft material
  • The participant will be able to discuss which types of defects may benefit from using a porcine collagen matrix graft
