Announcing New Mentors for Clinical Observership Program

Clinical Observership Mentors

The right professional development can mean all the difference in one’s career and in bringing about improved outcomes for patients.

That’s why Osteo Science Foundation launched its Clinical Observation Program, an innovative and fast-growing training opportunity designed to provide the next generation of clinicians with the tools and knowledge they need for success.

Developed especially for OMFS residents, the program is a unique career development program offering one-on-one, private-practice training with leading practitioners in the field of Oral and CranioMaxillofacial Surgery. Residents are carefully matched with participating senior clinicians for an intensive, two to four week assignment.

“I really believe that the Clinical Observership Program is very important for Osteo Science Foundation to carry-on simply because we have a lot of clinical expertise in research and this expertise should be passed on to future generations”, said Dr. Peter Moy, Founding Board Member of Osteo Science Foundation and Clinician Mentor based in Los Angeles, California. “We have reached out to some of the biggest names in OMFS to participate in this clinical observership and if I were a resident today, I would be very excited about the ability to connect with these famous doctors in our specialty.”

Since it’s initial launch, the program has seen dramatic growth – not only from resident applications but also Clinician Mentor participation. “From a personal standpoint, mentoring was so important for my development as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon,” said Dr. Anthony Sclar, Clinician Mentor based in Miami, Florida. “And that’s why I believe so passionately in the Foundation’s Clinical Observership Program.” In recent months, the Foundation announced the availability of the following new Clinician Mentors:

Edmond Bedrossian, DDS, San Francisco, CA Jay P. Malmquist, DMD, Portland, OR
