Dr. Furkan Dogan went to Howard University Hospital for her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program. Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey she completed her initial dental training at the Marmara University School of Dental Medicine. She went on to complete her American dental training at Tufts University where she engaged in research exploring tissue engineering under the tutelage of Dr. Jonathan Garlick. She further advanced her formal training prior to OMS residency by completing a 2-year Dental Anesthesiology residency at New York University’s Lutheran Medical Center and a 1-year surgical internship under Dr. Edward Ellis III at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Dr. Dogan’s primary interests are virtual surgical planning, orthognathic surgery, guided tissue regeneration, and the many advancing technologies within our industry. In her free time Dr. Dogan enjoys reading and visiting her family back home. She is extremely appreciative for this opportunity, and she is exceedingly optimistic about the future.
