Michael Schiappa, DDS

Dr. Schiappa grew up in Lincolnwood, IL. He completed his undergraduate education at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa, where he received his B.S. In Biomedical Engineering, played Division 1 lacrosse, and developed and patented a device, the oral capnography accessory, for use in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery sedations. He then completed his dental education at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York, NY. Michael is currently in his chief year at the University of Illinois Chicago completing his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His clinical interests include orthognathic surgery, trauma, implantology, hard and soft tissue grafting and outpatient anesthesia, and his research interests include device design for application in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
