Mohamed Alsharea, DMD

Dr. Alsharea earned his dental degree from Midwestern University in Illinois and practiced as a general dentist in Chicago for three years. During that time, he frequently found himself drawn to the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery, ultimately deciding to pursue it as a career.

Today, he is a third-year OMFS resident at Lincoln Hospital—a path he considers one of the most rewarding decisions of his life. He has a special interest in orthognathic surgery and facial trauma, and he hopes to focus his future practice in these areas. He is passionate about continuous learning and enjoys acquiring new techniques and skills that directly improves patient quality of life. Outside of surgery, he finds joy in challenging himself through sports. He has taken up snowboarding, ice skating, and rollerblading, and looks forward to trying wakeboarding in the future. He believes that mastering new challenges, whether in surgery or on the slopes, is one of life’s greatest rewards.
