Dr. Sarmento completed his residency at Parkland. He was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and moved to the United States with his parents when he was young. Dr. Sarmento completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida before attending dental school at the University of Pittsburgh. His wife and him then decided to return to the warmth, moving down to Dallas where he completed his medical school training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
