Ryane Staples, DMD
San Antonio Military Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency/Brooke Army Medical Center

Dr. Staples was born and raised in Maine and majored in Economics at Colgate University in upstate NY (Hamilton). He is a second-career Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery resident, having worked for five years in sales and management before deciding to go into healthcare. He attended the University of Connecticut in Farmington, CT for dental school. Before deciding on UConn, he was selected by the Navy for the Health Services Collegiate Program (HSCP), and was the first Navy resident to attend the now-tri-branded OMS residency at the San Antonio Military Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Brooke Army Medical Center program. Dr. Staples has a competitive athletic background, including being the Maine State shotput and javelin champion, which then translated to playing division 1 college football and track and field at Colgate. When not at the hospital (uncommon), he loves traveling with the wife – taking road trips, skiing, hiking, reading, working out, and eating!
