Andrea Ancheta
Executive Director
Andrea Ancheta joined Osteo Science Foundation as the organization’s first Executive Director. She is a strong advocate for medical research, and shares the commitment of the Board of Directors to fund excellent research in Oral and CranioMaxillofacial Surgery. With a background in non-profit management, she brings strategic leadership and an entrepreneurial approach to Osteo Science Foundation. In addition to leading the Foundation’s research and educational initiatives, Ms. Ancheta can be seen regularly, presenting Osteo Science Foundation’s research strategy and priorities at industry conferences and meetings.
Prior to joining Osteo Science Foundation, Ms. Ancheta was the Executive Director at Hearing Health Foundation, a national non-profit committed to preventing and curing hearing loss. In 2011, she launched the Hearing Restoration Project, an international research consortium with a goal of curing hearing loss. While at Hearing Health Foundation, Ms. Ancheta wrote numerous articles for publication on the importance of hearing research and the prevention of hearing loss, most recently for WebMD, caring.com, and More.com. She has also appeared on television and radio advocating for healthy hearing and a regenerative cure for hearing loss, including segments on NBC, Fox, and Lifetime. In 2013, she was featured in “The Boss” section of The New York Times. Ms. Ancheta was the publisher of Hearing Health magazine, the largest publication on hearing loss. She previously worked at Bear, Stearns and Co., and at New York University in various capacities in event management and development. Ms. Ancheta holds an MA in Education from New York University and a BA from Temple University, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.
